How to get Saved through Jesus?

Welcome to my blog. I'm so excited you want
to learn more about being saved through Jesus.

Before I begin, let me just introduce myself. My name is Norma Garcia (Nova1322) and I'm a Christian singer/songwriter

and a Christian published author.

My salvation journey began in 1999. 

Back then, no one, told me how to get saved. 

God Himself, did a miracle in my car one night, on my way to a liquor store near my house when the message of salvation was revealed to me through Christian radio. You can read more about it in my book "here."

So what is SALVATION? 

Salvation means being "born again." 

In other words, being born a second time through God's Spirit. The first time, we were born through our parents. So it's flesh versus Spirit! (John 3:1)

The tricky question however becomes...how does one become BORN A SECOND TIME??? 

Is there a formula? A ritual? A religious act of some sort? 

The Bible says there is. There are steps one must act out according to God's Word. 

But what good are those steps if we don't understand WHY we need salvation in the first place. 

So before I give you the simple but profound steps, I would first like to explain WHY the world needs salvation through Jesus.

Are you ready?

We need salvation because we broke the law! 

We're law breakers and there isn't a human being on this earth who hasn't failed concerning the law.

God has considered us all evil doers in His eyes, as painful as that might sound. 

(Isaiah 9:17)

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the fruit from the forbidden tree, they sinned. They were Law brakers! (Romans 5:12)

When He gave Moses the 10 commandments for the Hebrews, they broke them. They were Law brakers! (Galatians 3:10)

And we too cannot keep the laws of God because, we ALL have fallen short of God's grace. (Romans 3:23)

That's why God flooded the whole earth in Noah's days -wiped out every human and animal because we're sinners! (Genesis 6:5-7)

So what does God do?

Does He extinguish mankind? Does He create a new breed of humans? Does He send us all to hell?

NO NO NO!!! But if He did, He would stand JUSTIFIED! (Habakkuk 1:13)

Instead, of punishing us for being wicked, He sends His Son Jesus Christ to the earth to die on the cross to pay the penalty for every law we have broken and puts our punishment on His back. (Isaiah 53:5-8) (Colossians 2:14) (Galatians 3:13-14)

Got it? Good!

Okay so now, we have to do something after understanding this amazing, GOOD NEWS.

Since Jesus paid the price on the cross to cancel our debt, how does the transaction of salvation take place in our hearts?

Glad you asked. 

HERE ARE THE STEPS!!!

First Step: You must believe everything you've read today is true! Believe with your whole heart that Jesus died for your sins on the cross to pay for your penalty and He's your only ticket to heaven when you take your last breath on earth. (Romans 10:9)

Second Step: You must confess with your mouth that Jesus is the only SAVIOR. Which means, this requires you to actually open your mouth and speak the truth into the atmosphere because you need to hear it. God wants to hear it and the Devil needs to hear it too. Simply say, "Jesus, I believe You are the Savior of the world. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day and You are sitting at the right hand of God in heaven." (Matthew 26:64)

Third Step: You need to repent! (Acts 2:38) (1 John 1:9) (John 5:14) (Hebrews 10:26) this is more than just saying sorry to God for breaking His laws and sinning against Him. This is turning over your sinful life over to God, like a little child turns over a stolen candy into the hands of their parent and in exchange, the parent extends their hand to spank the child, but unlike the parent, God doesn't spank us. Instead, He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit to live inside of us because Jesus already got the punishment, remember??? 

PRAISE THE KING FOREVER!

So, if you've done all these 3 steps, and want to accept salvation through Jesus Christ the Savior of the world...just say this prayer. 

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for all of my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart You died for my sins on the cross and paid the penalty I owe. I ask You God in Heaven, to fill me with your Holy Spirit. I let go of every sin. I forsake my sinful lifestyle and from this day forward, I live for You and surrender my life completely to You. Thank You for forgiving me and loving me. In Jesus name I pray.

Congratulations, you are now a child of God! (Ephesians 1:5)

You belong to God in Christ Jesus and He has put the seal of His Spirit on you. (2 Corinthians 1:22)

Now, it is important that you go to a church on Sunday and start reading your bible. You will need support in this new life. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

God is going to begin to do mighty miracles in your life... so get ready for His blessings.
